The new film by Australian director Kevin Kwan, about the rise of the film industry, has been named one of Time Out Australia’s best films of the year.
Kwan directed the film, which has grossed $1.5 million, and stars Kate Beckinsale and Emma Stone.
Kowaty said he was impressed by the movie, which he said was a perfect example of how “people from the film world and everyone in this industry are really looking forward to this movie”.
“We’re going to see it in theaters next year, so hopefully that’ll be a little bit special,” he said.

Time Out executive director Tim O’Brien said he thought the film made an important contribution to the Australian film industry.

Kwen said he wanted to see the film screened at some point.
“Hopefully in 2020, I’ll see it,” he joked.
Time Warner chief executive Chris Hughes said the company was excited about Wanna see Wannabes success.
“In the next few years, we expect Wanna Watch will be on screens around the world,” Mr Hughes said.
