In a recent article in Gamasutra, writer Adam Posen described how to build a game-learning system using Python, a language that has been around for decades, but has only recently become popular.
He said the core of his system is an online class that he calls the “Easter egg Game,” which is a tutorial-style experience that is meant to help people learn to code and make games.
You play as an Easter egg who has to make a computer game based on an Easter Egg that you can find inside a candy shop.
Once you finish the tutorial, you get to make the game, and you can earn extra points for completing the tutorial in the game.

Posen, who is an aspiring programmer, was inspired to create his system after playing his first game, a strategy game called Go-Pro Star Wars: The Clone Wars, at a gaming convention in the fall of 2016.
After seeing the tutorial-like experience, Posen decided to go into the game to learn how to program and make video games, and his journey has taken him to Japan and Korea.
While Posen’s system is still in development, he says he hopes to make it more widely available and accessible in the future.
In an interview with Polygon, he said that he hopes people will continue to learn more about video games in an increasingly complex environment.
“This is really a great opportunity for me to help educate people and to have people learn how things work,” he said.
“I hope that this will be a great tool for people to get their feet wet in the video game industry.”
Posen is working on his system in partnership with game developer Unity Technologies.
The two companies plan to release the Easter Egg Game sometime in 2018.
He expects the system will be fully playable by the time the first beta version is released.
“I think the game is really fun,” he told Polygon.
“The system will definitely make people feel that they’re learning something that they wouldn’t otherwise have gotten to know.
There are a lot of games that people are just starting to learn about and get a feel for the game-building process.”
Poser said he hopes the system also can be used by developers to teach others.
“For a lot people who aren’t necessarily interested in coding or making games, but want to get more into this field, the Easter eggs could be a good way to get a taste of programming,” he added.
